Cory Ramsey
South Central Region
Cory Ramsey feels at home in the outdoors. A native of Hickman in the far western reaches of Kentucky, Cory grew up on the fringes of the Reelfoot National Wildlife Refuge near the Mississippi River. While growing up in such a vast area of hardwood swampland, he developed an interest in the outdoors and what it meant to conserve it for future generations.
After moving to Bowling Green, Kentucky to study political science at WKU, Cory began hiking in earnest over a multi-state area. Trips as far west as Wyoming and California quickly followed, with excursions to the nearby Smoky Mountains as well. An appreciation soon turned into advocacy, and now when not hiking, he is either in contact with local and national leaders, or is on some form of media talking about the benefits of an outdoor lifestyle. A writer, a speaker, and a hiker. That’s Cory Ramsey, Outoorsman.

Where are your favorite places to kayak? We live in Hopkinsville on Little River and have a camper near Lake Barkley, but have heard there is some good water in Arkansas.
